Chris on Handbox
The Handbox BL-415 speaker cabinet is an excellent speaker for amplifying the double bass. I am currently on tour with the Josh Lawrence Jazz 3 and the speaker has sounded fantastic in all the venues that we have played whether they be small clubs or outdoor jazz festivals. Playing the double bass with an amplifier and speaker sometimes sounds very different than when played without an amplifier and speaker but I was very pleased that the Handbox BL-415 accurately reproduces the sound of my 100-year old double bass. I highly recommend Handbox‘s speakers to any musician who is looking for a speaker with an excellent design and sound.

Soulo Mute
A big thanks to Mike Jarosz for sending me his new Soulo mute. It has a big warm sound which adds beautiful colors to anything from a slow ballad to burning bebop. The mute has an easy free blowing feel and the intonation is right on. Congrats dude! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.
